This is where I used to write about good beers (one of my great passions) every once in a while. Now that I live in Egypt, I’m not really finding beer worth writing about. Some day I will do a comprehensive wrap up of the Egyptian beer scene.
Beer of the Week: Bigfoot Ale from the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company:

If you don’t like intense beers, stay away from this one. In fact, it’s not even a beer. Technically it’s a “Brandywine Style Ale”. Right off the bat it hits you with its intense malty, alcoholic smell. When you sip you taste the pounds of malt that went into this beer. Then you get a nice kick of hops in the back of your throat. There is a lingering bitterness in your mouth after each sip. Also, this beer is 9.6% alcohol, so you probably don’t want to take on a six pack of it on your own. But if you want something serious, something that you can sip slowly, then this is a good beer for you.
